Professional Liability Litigation

The firm’s attorneys have successfully prosecuted and defended complex claims brought against professionals. They have successfully defended major law firms in complex legal malpractice cases and represented individual attorneys in disciplinary proceedings before the Board of Bar Overseers. In addition to claims based upon professional negligence, the firm’s attorneys have also represented law firms in the defense of other tort claims, including breach of fiduciary duty, aiding and abetting, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and have represented both attorneys and law firms in matters involving compensation disputes and dissolution-related issues.

The firm has also both defended and brought suit against other professionals, including accountants, architects, contractors, real estate brokers, insurance agents and brokers, corporate officers and directors, and trustees and administrators, in cases arising out of allegations that work did not satisfy the relevant standard of care.
