Barbara Gruenthal

Ms. Gruenthal is an experienced commercial litigator. She joined the firm in 1993 after nine years with the Trial Department of Goodwin Procter LLP. Her practice has covered a broad range of complex litigation matters including contract, business tort, employment, patent infringement, partnership, corporate governance and shareholder disputes, lender liability and other banking matters, insurance coverage, and environmental disputes. Ms. Gruenthal also has substantial experience in zoning and other land use and real estate disputes, including matters involving variances, special permits, easements, restrictive covenants and commercial leases, as well as partnership and other real estate development agreements. She represents a wide variety of business entities as well as individuals.

Ms. Gruenthal has trial and appellate experience in both the state and federal courts. She is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts and in the United States Courts of Appeals for the First and Federal Circuits. She has also appeared pro hac vice in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Ms. Gruenthal graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1984. She received a B.A., cum laude, degree from Brandeis University in 1978 and pursued additional studies in biology, chemistry, and computer science prior to entering law school.
